Why not come along and try something new?

This activity is organised by the Rotary Club of Ludlow and delivered by school staff to Year 6 pupils.  The children take part in wide variety of activities and learn new skills such as first aid and arts and crafts as well as community work such as litter picking and fund raising. They record their achievements in their personal diaries with the year culminating in an award ceremony in Ludlow in July.

Guitar lessons run on a Tuesday morning 8am-9am. Each lesson lasts 20 minutes and the pupils are split into ability groups. The club is ran by Mr Ashcroft, a lead Music teacher for Shropshire County Council.

If you are interested in starting lessons, please contact the school office for up to date costs for lessons.

This club is run by Mrs Mumford and takes place on Thursday for girls in Years 3 – 6. We enter three teams Crystals, Diamonds and Sapphires in the local primary schools’ league at Cleobury Mortimer Sports Hall throughout the year.

Runs in the Autumn. A professional coach from Kidderminster Harrier comes to school twice a week for football coaching for KS1 and KS2 children. This activity is chargable.

If you are currently eligible for Free School Meals and would like financial assistance in order for your child to participate in any chargeable activities, please contact the school office in strictest confidence.

Every Friday lunchtime, pupils in Years 3, 4 and 5 can come to Froggy Maths to practise their times tables skills. They can enjoy playing online games such as ‘Hit the Button’, ‘Maths Fishing’ or ‘Coconut Multiples’ and also play multiplication games on PurpleMash.  Pupils can also choose to challenge themselves to complete two minute tests. Challenges begin with 33 questions from the 2s,5s and 10s times tables. Will you be able to answer 99 questions in 2 minutes?

The choir at Clee Hill Community Academy is far from traditional! If you like up beat music and popular hits then this choir is sure to get your toes tapping! Choir takes pace every Friday lunchtime 12:30 – 1:00 with Mr Bryant in Class 5. There is no charge for this club.

Brass lessons take place on Thursday afternoons with a specialist Brass teacher, Stella Disney. A range of brass instruments are available and can be rented as part of the programme. If you are interested in starting lessons, please contact the school office for up to date costs for lessons

Recorder Club is open to all ages and runs on a Tuesday night 3:15- 4:00pm in the Autumn and Summer term. The children are taught to read music from the very beginning and music is available online to practice at home.

Learning to play an instrument uses skills which not only help a child’s development but also give many children a chance to shine. Children often celebrate their skills in assemblies and develop great friendships by encouraging their peers.

Children will need to bring their own recorder however a recorder can be loaned until a child gets their own or just wishes to join for a short time period. There is no charge for this club.
