Our Remote Learning has evolved enormously over the past year responding to the needs of our pupils and families. Our remote teaching and learning policy explains this in greater detail, including how work will be set during lockdown and when pupils are self-isolating for short periods of time.
IT can be an incredible asset in education, especially for remote learning, however at Clee Hill Community Academy we are aware that online working is not suitable for younger pupils and that many children do not have regular access to a laptop or online device.
Therefore, during school closures in 2021 we will be using work-packs as the ‘core’ of our remote learning and online resources will be used to support further. Work packs will be delivered and new packs collected weekly, so that staff can value and assess pupils’ achievements and provide additional support or extension where required. Through regular contact with families, we will provide adequate stationary and reading materials to help support parents and guardians through their remote learning experiences.
