A message of thanks from our PTA chair
Firstly we want to thank you for the support you have given over the last academic year. You have helped make every fundraising effort a success. From giving your time to help at events, donations towards the swap shop, supporting our pop-up shops and your children attending events such as discos and film nights. We saw a fantastic turnout for our exciting new events; Teddy bears picnic and Escape the school. We have managed to raise just over £5500 since Christmas and this is all down to your participation.
So where have the funds gone? This year with the costs of everything rising we decided to put £10 per child towards trips taken over the spring and summer term. We paid for the whole school trip to the panto, new giant outdoor chess and draughts set, 4 new playhouses, new goalposts, new netball's for the netball team, equipment for clubs such as gardening tools, planters, books, t-shirts, recorders and reading miles days activities such as the African drumming workshop. We have also purchased lots of prizes for competitions run throughout the year such as Clee Hills got talent and World Book Day competitions and our ever popular spotted being fantastic prizes. Other purchases have included Christmas presents for all the pupils, and leavers 2023 gifts for both nursery and year 6. As you may have noticed we now have a new storage container on the playground and also the swap shop shed are some more of this year's purchases.
Let's hope that 2023-2024 is as much of a success as the last year. Every penny counts towards our children's school life, from being able to play outside in our new playhouses which in time will turn into a mini village to workshops ran on reading miles days.
Again a huge thanks for all of your support , if you have any questions about joining the PTA then please ask in reception and look out for PTA meetings in the newsletter.
Events
Film night: Grab your PJs and pillow/s because CHCA PTA film nights are ran every half term and they are like a huge sleep over party! Each child is given a snack pack for the evening and brings their water bottle for drink refills. It's lots of fun and all ages from Reception upwards are invited.
School Discos: School discos are ran every half term - often with a disco theme. In 2022-2023, we had a Halloween disco, a valentines disco and a Hawaiian themed Leaver's disco. The PTA also ran a Nursery Leaver's disco too.
Escape Rooms - The PTA Escape rooms was a high success in 2023. Children solved puzzles together to escape the school.
What the PTA money was spent on 2022-2023
The school are very grateful for our hard working and active PTA. In assembly, the children gave a thank you card to the PTA for their fund raising and buying new books for their book club.
