WOW Travel Trackers: increasing Active Travel to school in a fun and engaging way
The WOW Walk to School Challenge is a pupil-led initiative which involves primary school pupils recording their journeys to school. They record their journeys using the interactive WOW Travel Tracker. If your pupils walk or actively travel to school at least once a week for a month, they will receive a special WOW badge as a reward.
This year’s theme for the challenge, ‘Walk with Imagination,’ encourages pupils to envision a different walk to school - think of soaring through the skies like an eagle or exploring the depths of the ocean! We’re excited to unveil the final badge designs for the 2024/25 school year. The WOW badges were designed by pupils across the UK in our annual Badge Design Competition.
WOW is a fun and engaging way to introduce your pupils to active travel. WOW helps to reduce congestion, traffic and pollution outside of the school gates, while increasing walking rates and instilling healthy habits.
